FCC ULS On-line Applications
- Locate your FCC account information
- When you first got your license the FCC may have assigned you an FRN (FCC Registration Number)
and a password. If you can still find that information skip to Step 5.
- If you only know your FRN number, continue at Step 3.
- Search for your FRN number
- Go to http://wireless.fcc.gov/uls
- In the SEARCH block in the center of the screen click on
- Type in your call sign, check the box "exact matches only" and then click

You will get a display that looks like this (arrow added to show where the FRN number is displayed)

- If you have an FRN number, write it down and skip to Step 3 to get a password assigned.
- Get a FRN number and password assigned
- Go to http://wireless.fcc.gov/uls
- In the REGISTER block click on
- Check the selection REGISTER NOW and click
- Check the selection AN INDIVIDUAL and click
- Fill out the form as directed and click
- Continue at Step 4.
- Request a password
- Contact FCC ULS Technical Support
- Call the FCC help desk at 1-877-480-3201. They are open M-F 8:00 a.m.-7:00 p.m. ET. Have all your information
at hand to speed the call.
- The support desk must talk directly with the licensee to confirm his or her identity. You can't do that for a
third party.
- Ask for the FRN number and password to be conveyed to you by phone, if possible, so you can finish your filing. Store this information in a safe place for future use.
- File the Application
- Go to http://wireless.fcc.gov/uls
- Click on
and follow the menus.
- You can modify your address, renew your license or even apply for a vanity call
using this on-line process. There is even a way to use a credit card to pay the fee for a vanity call request.
- It is really simple, fast and it is FREE!
